Political and Religious Threads...

Lacquer vs Poly is a religious issue not a political one, more akin to the "Great Schism".

Okay, I've been avoiding this but...I'm good with my poly Duo Jet! I would love to have a lacquered-up Gretsch but prices for such are not conducive with my budget-even used and especially vintage.
I guess you could say I'm socially lacquer but fiscally poly.

Quite the thread. First time I ever got a knot in my stomach reading a guitar forum thread. Nice.

Now see, here I spend all day scraping half of the Poly off of my SSU and coating the exposed wood with Lacquer in an attempt at bi-partisan reconciliation and this is the thanks I get?
On top of that, you forgot "latte-swilling"! Those lattes won't swill themselves you know, and I'm tired of my hard work being taken for granted.
Anyone know what a 6120SSU/SSL might sell for? It's...umm...'one of a kind'....
I doubt that anything Bear read on the internet led to his heart attack; but since I also doubt that anything he reads in this thread will help his recovery much, I hope he will keep to his stated intention not to revisit this thread.

I'll readily admit I have my issues about Palin and that Palin thread. Still I had to bail when it got ugly! BTW the best quote came from Chris Rock "Al Davis must have made that pick!"
I got to tell you the truth tho' I didn't read Mr. T's name in Syncro's posting. From what I read here it's assumed and judging from that thread several people could have filled those shoes but no none of this caused Bear's heart attack Bear's bad heart brought that along. The irony of how ugly the world has become and how bitter the contesting of this elction just coincides with a friends heart almost giving out.
What I need to ask of all of you is for everyone to stop pissing down their leg and please read the Save the bears thread I really want something positive to come of all of this! Please consider this instead of the ugly path this election is leading us into then in the long run maybe we can help a brother out!
BTW my early New year's resolution is to stay away from the political threads and keep my politics to myself..............except for Al's shitty pick!

So, what would it hurt?
Nothing I guess but in my line of work things that are forgotten and not talked to competition have a tendency to be REmembered when convenient. Either way I don't care but I like to see a handshake.... -

HI GUYS! ..been awhile. first off I hope bears health is a fast and effortless recovery. Second Ric12strings most recent post here is truly words to live by. I call it the grandma rule, If you'd be embarrassed to let your grandma read/hear/see anything you say or do then don't do or say it. I realize again I should take my own advice. all I am trying to say is we can't all get along inspite of our similiaraites, then the rest of the world is screwed. I mean, are we not the top of the guitar chain?Tressel, waffle or sound post, do we all tune before playing? do we all change broken strings, despite odd windings, do we all cry when we see a new one on ebay we can't afford? Don't we all have mohawks and know the picking lines to all our favorate songs? so we disagree on star bellied sneaches and non star bellied sneaches... i say if you have a star on your belly then wear it with pride. if your belly is star free then wear that with pride. just remember my rights end EXACTALLY where yours begin and the other way too! I would hate to see this get out of hand
