Pete Shelley R.I.P.

2

He was a huge musical influence on me as a youth. I was fortunate enough to see the Buzzcocks several times over the years. Gone too soon...

3

Vary sad about this, I saw Buzzcocks at the Mayflower in Manchester in 1977. He wrote some of the best punk pop songs.

4

Long time big, big fan! Wow...what a shocker to me. I still frequently listen to the 'cocks. Sad day, indeed.

5

This is sad, I love the Buzzcocks

6

Sad news.

Buzzcocks were/are one of my favourite punk bands. I still have my 45rpm copies of “Ever Fallen In Love” and “Promises” that I bought in Liverpool in 1978.

RIP Pete.

7

One of punk's great songwriters.

Gone way too soon.

This one hurts. Huge fan.

As much as i hate giant music festivals I braved one two years ago to see the buzzcocks again. Glad I did.

Pete was playing a 99 dollar Epiphone l.p. Jr. And making it sound great.

10

Absolutely loved Buzzcocks and Pete Shelley as a kid. Fabulous songwriter and very sad to hear he has died.

11

I remember when this came out, I thought it was “The Dickies”

He had that classic “punk” sound.

12

So why-y-y-y-y-y-y can’t I touch it?

14

For some of Us, a very influential Musical Icon gone too soon.

R.I.P. Sir

15

He won’t be suffering anymore. Goodbye Pete. T_T

Thank you for the great music

Always loved this bassline

16

We've lost a lot of good people this year, and sadly another one. RIP Pete Shelley.

17

Our band has covered Buzzcocks tunes for the last 25 years. RIP
