Good post, Proteus. It’s good to look back and see how much we have/haven’t changed. There’s a few bands I couldn’t find pics for. The one constant in all these bands........the drummer. We’ve been playing together since about 1979.

1967 Melbourne Australia: The Valentines. This time the other guitar player is playing my Casino and I'm playing his Strat.

Isn’t that Bon Scott on the right?!

Here is from an assisted living home a few years ago. I'm the one sitting with the Tennessee Rose.

Yes it is.

Covering any Billy & The Aztecs tunes there?

– Tartan Phantom

No, but ironically I went on to become Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs sound guy from 1972 -1974.

I've done gigs at places like that-- I love it, and the folks are always so appreciative.

After nearly forty years of playing folk music, I formed my first rock'n'roll band in 2010, Getty Township. We played a mix of Byrds, Beatles, Flying Burrito Bros., and some blues as well. Not being a blues guitarist by any stretch of the imagination, I pulled over something from my folk days. I think I was the only blues fiddler in the entire state of Kansas. This was a promotional photo. I'm front and center with the Rickenbacker 360-12 string. Behind me just to the left is Steve Brown, drums; next is Mark Roberts, bass: Top, Matt Dollar, pedal steel, Mike Yoder, guitar and vocals; Matt Pollock, guitar and vocals.

The band finally dissolved because of the pandemic.
