Early 70's band. The new guy (me) has to sit on the floor and screen out the hip-to-toe leg cast of the female vocalist. The band played Friday and Saturday nights nearly every week at BYOB K of C, Elks, country clubs, etc. functions. Venues were 250 to 500 and were almost always sold out weeks in advance. Pay was always $83/night ($500 six ways) except for New Years ($200 ea). I was making more money on the weekends than on my full time job.
First full time road band. Six nights/week 46 weeks/year. First time I ever broke the 'don't date the singer' rule. The guitarist (leftmost in photo) 'forgot' his shoe laces. Huh?
Yet another full time road band. Literally, coast to coast. The ladies are wearing dresses with see thru lace panels. The lovely lady on the left played organ and flute and the one on the right was the lead singer. I once again broke that singer rule and finally figured out why some rules should be followed.
Found this old snap at my folks house today; The Wild Ones, my first rock and roll band. I think I must be 17, we played house parties and the like. The 18th birthday circuit.
My band now. Bonk.
Just the two of you, Bob?
2 guys and a looper

Another full time road band. Twin sisters (from the same mother). I followed the 'don't date the singer' rule in this band.

That was wicked, Bob! Slinky groove! LUVED your over-the-bar stuff! Did I hear the Pitchfork, as well?
Thanks, Sam. I hoped you would like that. No PF. That’s on my board, not Monks. He uses a POG.

1965 Fremantle West Australia: The Spektors. That's me with the Epi Casino.
1967 Melbourne Australia: The Valentines. This time the other guitar player is playing my Casino and I'm playing his Strat.
Covering any Billy & The Aztecs tunes there?
1969 on the streets of Melbourne. The Valentines again, this time with a "tougher" look!
