I heard these two talk on their show on Sirius Radio the Playboy channel......er.......... I stand by my statement!
RJ said: the girls in my avatar do not have a political viewIt's that you bring them up yourself - who are those girls in your avatar?!?
Those girls are McCain's next cabinet picks...the blonde is going to be Secretary of State and the brunette is going to be Secretary of Defense. The blonde is experienced because she's actually worked as a secretary while in junior college and has been out of state to Lake Havasu, AZ for spring break...and the brunette has military experience because she dated a few military guys and spent a few nights on various military installations.
Looks like they have some good points between them!
Responded but guess what? PROXY ERROR!
Walter I thought it absurd that Tony was being confronted about his avatar. Like I said above these girls had a show on Sirius Playboy channel. The conversation was vapid at best. The only reason I keep them as my avatar is the blonde named Jillian Grace was a centerfold a few years back. Last month she had twins and I know that belly shot that you see now will never be the same. I honor that bellyshot!
God forbid I'd have relatives that looked like that! I do have a beautiful daughter but she wouldn't be caught dead in a belly shirt like that! FWIW she's republican I think she's voting McCain. I don't get it!
Oh, I was thinking wife/girlfriend/sister... etc..., not daughter.
Although I don't often agree with many of you I would fight for your right to speak freely and have the avatar of your choosing. Unless of course it would involve pain or suffering or any form of sacrifice or inconvenience on my part. Then, the hell with you, I'm outa here.
Since we all know that Beatles6120 finds our Republican Vice Presidential candidate to be a "HOTTIE" I thought he might really appreciate this...
ENJOY MITCH!
Palin was originally for the TruArc bridge but now opposes it.
I figured I better add a grin, otherwise some of you might take me seriously and get offended.
Ok truth sleuths, since this is a Palin thread I'll ask if these late-coming assertions are true:
Palin campaigned for the "bridge to nowhere" then turned against it when it became unpopular. Got the money from the feds and kept it. Then said, "I told the feds thanks but no thanks. If Alaska wants a bridge we'll buid it ourselves"
Palin said that she visited troops in Iraq but never crossed the border from Kuwait.
Palin claimed that she sold the state plane on ebay when in fact she tried to sell it there, couldn't and sold it at a loss to another private buyer.
As an exiting mayor Palin left Wasilla $20 million in debt when she left office.
Under Palin's term, Wasilla charged rape victims up to $1200 for rape kits.
Palin cosistently has rebuked earmarks as a part of "old boy" politics that she wants to reform yet she has received approx $400 million in earmarks since she's been governor.
I'm not naive and I know all politicians lie. But if even some of these assertions are true they seem to fly in the face of the McCain / Palin rhetoric of reform and honor.
If they're not true, speak up and set the record straight.
From here it sure sounds like the same old same old to me.
ALL POLITICIANS LIE!!!
It doesn't matter what office they hold or which party they represent. Their main goal is to get elected, reelected, and to fill their pockets with as much of our money as they can while in office. Nothing they do is actually for the people. In reality, we're just in the way of their ambition and greed except at election time.
Yeah, I'm afraid that you're right, Bear.
There was a time that I actually believed McCain to be honest. I didn't always agree with his policies and proposals but I believed that largely, he spoke the truth. I was naive.
Now I don't and I am disappointed in him.
I was actually hopeful that this campaign might be free of distortions and outright lies. I got that hope from believing that McCain would be true to his word.
Enter Carl Rove's operatives and now, "game over".
We're better than this.
I saw a McCain "financial adviser" on MSNBC last night. She was glib and disingenuous as hell, and I don't like McCain's policies, but she was stunning. I can't remember her long German last name, though.
Yep, this is surely the ticket for America... Another 8 years of asleep at the wheel....
Even McCain's advisor, Carly Fiorini said McCain or Palin weren't equipped to run a company (she also said that of Obama, but of her own campaign???)
One of is other idiot advisors said he helped "invent" the blackberry? The old coot can't even send email. And besides, RIM, the company that DID invent the blackberry, is a Canadian company. And before anyone brings up Gore and the Internet, Gore isn't running this time 'round...
On a lighter note Tina Fey did a great job playing Palin on SNL last weekend.
Yes, it was a spot on impersonation I think. And, I thought it did a pretty good job at poking fun at both Clinton and Palin, so it was not a personal attack.
The SNL live skit was one of the things that keep that show keepin on so to speak.
Spot On the Palin immo!
And guess who McCain just appointed to head his transition team? His name is William E. Timmons and he's someone Beatles and John Lennon fans may be familiar with. But I doubt anybody here except maybe a few ever heard his name before, it helps to know history...or be the son of a retired history and social studies teacher.
I tell ya...with Palin and now THIS turd...McSame really knows how to pick em. Good luck America, you'll need it.
Bear said: ALL POLITICIANS LIE!!!
Where I come from that is assumed.
But that said: I have met and talked to Obama and he seems to be different than most of the politicians from these parts. It would take many paragraphs to explain why ( which I will not do since this is no a political forum) but he does comes across as really genuine.
Oh, and for those that don't know; Carly Fiorini was the CEO of HP that screwed the company with the merger of Compaq and HP. By the way, HP is steadily shipping jobs over seas. Yep, that's looking out for the middle class, isn't it? Scum of the earth.

Also do not forget what Carly did to Lucent (Bell Labs).
