Hey Mark S(ynchro), do you have posted anywhere online any recordings of your jazz playing? I would love to listen to them.

Colorado Dealer Buys Big!
It's Steve Mesplé of Wildwood Guitars of Louisville, Colorado. Steve is an avid collector with a bevy of old Gretschs, and he's not stopping there.
Somewhere in the vicinity of Denver and Boulder is a store which will have not one or two, but FOUR of the 125th Anniversary 6120s – and eleven 6128TDS-R Jet relics.
He assures me he's going to keep one of the goldies. You can check out the store at www.wildwoodguitars.com.

I only have one recording posted. If I ever have the time and the energy I'd like to do more. You can find it in my profile on the GDP or at my "band" page on MySpace. -

I used to go and visit Steve all the time when I lived in Broomfield, CO. I don't know that he'll remember me but tell him hello and that I'm the guy that used to come in and play chord solos on his Jeff Beck Strats about 10 years ago.

Gretsch Anatomy.
So I told Joe y'all wanted to know about the bracing in the new 6118 Jagtan Annie. He said I had free rein to show it and pointed to the display model and one in a case behind the curtain.
So I spent several hours overnight, sawing and sanding, and came up with these pics for you guys. Hope you appreciate my effort.

Proteus, I know it's a hassle, but would you mind emailing me the pictures? I'd really like to see the bracing.

People!
That's Buddy and Suzy Dughi in the top two shots. Buddy's the heart of a legendary SoCal rockabilly combo, The Hot Rod Trio. See the metal plaque between the Club & the Synchro? Joe used the Hot Rod Trio's logo on the panel truck being towed.
You only have to talk to Buddy for about a minute to know he's as real about rockabilly as it gets!
Then we have Bettina posing with a candy red Setzer Hot Rod - her choice of arm candy. She's actually an upright bass player...and she poses for pinups as Betty Marmalade.
Dedicated Gretsch fan Flock Jason accompanies her.
Finally, Jenna Bela looks just right posing with the Jag tan Anni on top of the Playboy, huh?
She's escorted by Remy Voodoo.
Both are mad crazy Shack Shakers fans, and were happy to hear David Lee & Co. are playing on the Frontline stage Sunday.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is playing over there right now – but if he ain't Gretschin', we ain't interested, right?

Hey Proteus nice job... Take a stroll down Gibson lane and check out the neck profile on a CR8, drag Joe along too as I think it comes close to Gretsch vintage necks.

Proteus, thanks for exposing a Gretsch newbie to more great guitars than the mind can comfortably comprehend. (Or afford)!

Okay, my favorite pic would be of a nice girl in a string bikini sitting on the playboy amp with a G6120-125. Can it happen?

More trivial matters.
1 - Want a 30' Fender Koil Kord? Do you know when young George Harrison bought his beloved Dynasonic Jet?
(Just because I have a mountain of stuff Joe doesn't want anymore, I'm going to double up here - which means you have to identify which question you're answering.)
2 - For an übercool Gretsch 125th Anniversary poster, with a historical timeline, stuff you don't know, and great pics...can you tell me what happened to George Harrison's iconic Country Gent?
One winner for the coil cord – but the first five right answers on the Gent get posters!
