Thanks to Joe, Mike Lewis, Proteus, and of course Baxter.
That was fun.
And Setzer, I never once edited my answers to any of the questions.

Thank you, Sir Proteus for such wonderful coverage. I almost felt like I were there. I tried to keep posting down since it tokk me 45 min to read through pages and even trying to log on was a chore. Highspeed internet 10.0 my arse. AAAARRRGH!
Oh well, Congrats to those of you who have won items. I spent three hours on here saturday and gave up trying to post an answer.
Not mad at anyone....just frustrated.
Again Thanks , Tim. You did a great job and we will all have something to go back on and listen to some wonderful clips.
Who produced it, Deed? No one ever answered your query.
Peace, Dave
I also want to thank Proteus for a job very well done and congrats to all the winners of the cool prizes you won! I had a great time reading through all the threads here and have a lot of sound bites to listen to when I get a chance.
Also a big thanks to Joe, Mike and Fred for all their hard work as well and I look forward to next year when we can do it all over again!

Thanks Proteus! Best Show Ever!!! And you took those Blueburst pictures. My wife like it a lot - so you made my bed to buy a new Gretsch
I waited a picture of you, but I thought you grab a favorite guitar to your hands from the Gretsch wall. At least you deserve it.
Did you get my PM?
Have a SAFE flight!
P.S. Thanks to Joe and the whole "Fred Gretsch family"!
P.P.S. And thanks again Bax for building this forum!

Well, I was inspired by Zuma, who was waiting for a question to which the answer would be..."Bill Szymczyk"! (He also produced a ton of other hits, including the massive albums by The Eagles.
And yes, Proteus...brilliant job, well done, and many thanks. Well, not too many, as you were in Southern California, surrounded by hot babes, playing any dream guitar you could get yer hands on, goin' to Disneyland...but hey, I digress. Around here, you are DaMan.
I would also like to thank Proteus for the great coverage, pics and musiacal posts. Also many thanks to Joe Gardcucci and Gretsch/FMIC for the give-aways and making this into a great party for all of us to enjoy.
Dry mouth, cold sweats, disorientation: I'm starting withdrawals . . . .
Thanks Proteus! I don't know who thought up the idea, Fred, Joe, or Mike. Anyway, a great idea that worked out exceptionally well.
The only downside, is that I still don't know about the G400 top bracing. I suppose it's just one of the universal mysteries that will never be known!

Re: The Joe Walsh et al, trivia Q: Just for the heck of it, I'm going to amp up the exactitude of this one. Since I know that Joe Walsh gave Pete Townshend the 6120 that he used as his main studio axe from "Who's Next" onward... I'm gonna say that they all used the very same guitar!
Or that they all recorded with 6120s, but didn't play them live?
Or that they all played guitars owned or once-owned by Joe Walsh?
Or that they all, at some point in their careers, tried to decapitate Abbie Hoffman with a Gibson SG Deluxe.

addendum: They all recorded with 6120s, but played Les Pauls live?

But, again, you may be right on that.
Nope, it was another question with the answer "Bill Szymczyk" inspired by Zuma, as was Deed's question about the producer of "You Better You Bet".

As a former "journalist" and battle-scarred veteran of too many trade shows I felt a twinge of professional jealousy when Proteus was selected as our designated correspondent, but M-O-O-N (that spells "DAMN!") I have to admit that I couldn't have (not to mention wouldn't have) done a better job. Not even close. Rats off to to ya, sir.
HUGE thanks to everyone involved in making this outstanding collaboration happen.
Beautiful avatar, Zuma.
Proteus,
Impressive stuff, well done. And Gretsch what a show!
Yours
Drew
PS Did you reply to Wenzel on the Setzer red sparkle guitar?
