They must be running the same filter software my agency is running. I got nailed once for trying to find directions to Loveland, Colorado online.

No pedals on that steel. She plays a multi-neck Fender lap steel. -

I'm back. I've packed in enough Chardonnay to last 4 days, should get me through tonight.
If you have a 1) snowblower, 2) attached garage, 3) big coat, and 4) a sense of humor you can live here and be extremely happy. Some folks do it with the sense of humor only. Whatever.

Jan 19, 2008 4:39 p.m. Ric12string:
Is anyone else having any difficulty opening the amp sound clips? On these clips, as well as on other clips that Proteus has posted, I get an error message that a plug-in has failed to initialize. However, with other sound file postings, I don't seem to have that difficulty. Any thoughts on solving that?

At least VLC Player those are working fine. I'm using VLC Player because there are nearly all the codecs. So you can play nearly everything from video or audio. It's free and it works on PC and Mac.

I have QuickTime installed on my computer. That is what opens when I click on one of Proteus' sound files.

Nope, I live near Mescal, west of Benson but I was up in Coolidge about a month ago for a meeting up at the college.
I like the place.

Afternoon status report.
Saturday is party day at the show, when many semi-civilians slip in because their buddies own music stores.
That's not all bad, by any means, as they are most susceptible to the level of buzz and hype, and they lend the proceedings a great deal of energy.
In the closing booths and dealer rooms, deals are being written at a furious pace. Joe reports that Gretsch is doing very well at the dealer level.
The Ventures just played across the hall on the Fender Frontline stage; I was late and didn't get in the room, so no decent pics – but I recorded from the door, and the clips will be up in awhile.
I know I have to get caught up on giveaway award announcements, and y'all's questions as well.
At the moment I'm working on several other posts and reports – downloading pics from the camera, processing them through ImageReady, deciding which to use, uploading them to FMIC's server; transferring audio from the recorder to the Powerbook, editing them in Audacity, and getting them uploaded.
It just takes time. I'm really not slacking off.
So how about I give some more stuff away to keep your attention?
For a Gretsch beer mug, which amp is based on 6L6 power tubes, and what is its stated power rating?

Those soundfiles opened up in Windows MP for me though i have QT, is it prechoosen (right word?) on a PC with XP?
In my ears the Executive was the best sounding.
The best sounding is probably the little 5222 i will win
