Stop this madness now!!! All you lemmings (aka GDP'ers) need to wake up and recognize what's really going on here!!!
This is NOT some "behind the curtain, special look at NAMM." Rather, this whole thing is a vile plot, hatched by highly placed exec's within FMIC, huddled conspiratorially in smoke-filled corporate board rooms (plinking away on their '52 tele's and '59 6120's as they scheme away). The unabashed goals of this cabal: Line their pockets and sate, if only temporarily, their wanton lust for corporate profits.
"Here's what we'll do: We'll develop an initial buzz by putting up a special "insider" preview thread on GDP. It'll be filled with poetic and enticing descriptions of our new products. We'll include beautiful, studio-quality imagery (aka guitar p0rn). We'll then con a well-respected member of GDP, a man of protean knowledge and posting proclivities, to "report" on the new offerings. We'll entice him with a trip to NAMM, access to the goods and God knows what other measure of sordid vices to ensure his allegiance. We'll encourage him to post a serial reportage, replete with glowing impressions, descriptions and photographs of our new wares. We'll set him up with access to our servers and a special amplifier to record lush soundclips which can also be be posted on the site. We'll even supply him with a few trinkets to give away to keep the readers glued to their computers in hopes of winning something. Like a rapidly spreading virus, the totality of our efforts will infect the good readers of GDP with an insatiable and uncontrollable desire (aka GAS) to buy, spend and acquire, even if they have absolutely no need for any of this stuff. The virulent juggernaut will be unstoppable: They'll beg, borrow, steal, hock, mortgage and commit any number of untold personal indignities in a futile attempt to quell the pangs of fiddlelust burning deep in their guts . . . ."
Ok, now that you've all been warned, I've got to get back to the important work at hand: Scanning Al Gore's internet in search of the first retailer to stock the 125th JagTan Anniversary.

PS--But seriously folks, thanks, Proteus, for an outstanding job! Please keep up the good work, right to the bitter end.

Thanks for the Steve Hunter, Proteus. Will definitely be looking into his website soon. I loved the background audio too, with people talking and moving around even other people playing in the distance. For some reason my mind kept going to Bowie's "Memory of a Free Festival, Part One." There may be some irony, there.

Quick Notes
Pay attention, I'm only mentioning these things once, and there'll be a test.
New information gleaned from catalog-trawling, and from conversation with Joe on the way over in the van this morning.
• Seymour Dynas. Three guitars in the line have Seymour Duncan Dyna-Sonic pickups. Maybe you all knew that, but I just figured it out. All Custom Shoppers: the new 6128TDS-R Jet Relic, the 6136CST Dynasonic Falcon, and the 6120WCST western Chet Nashville. All three are also lacquer; the 6120 has a fixed Chet arm and Bigsbyluminum bridge, and comes with a cowboy case. (The similar 6120DSW is poly, has standard DynaSonics, and butter-handle Bigsby.)
There are no plans to spec Seymour Dynas for any Japanese-sourced models.
• The Gretsch Custom Shop truly IS a Gretsch custom shop. It's located up the stairs from the Fender CS in Corona CA, in its own room dedicated entirely to Gretsch and Gretsch alone.
Until recently, Fender CS manager Mike Eldridge held sway over the Gretsch shop. Joe Carducci has now been given direct management over the Gretsch shop. Plans for new models are far from being finalized. Nothing in the air yet; Joe will be figuring out how to employ his new toyshop after the NAMM circus is over.
• Will there be more lefties? The new Jag tan 125th Anni is scheduled to go southpaw in July.
• The Rock Band video game includes virtual models of ALL Gretsch guitars, pro-line and Electromatic.
• Any new Electromatics in the works? We've seen the introduction, via M123, of the 5122. That's it for this product cycle. When production at the factory comes to speed, that model will come into the chain in volume. (March-ish is what I'm hearing.)
• Performance schedule for the Fender Front Line stage.

Cosmik, you've nailed it! A few factual inaccuracies, but otherwise...well, one's view really is largely subject to one's perspective.
It's actually all come together in a much more ad hoc way than that suggests – and surely nunayou fellers can doubt that I'm genuinely enthusiastic about most things guitar-related, and particularly Gretsch.
Except, you know. Forkéd headstocks, glitter binding, and G-brands.

Trivia Number Next.
I don't think this answer is available in popular Gretsch lore, or documented anywhere else. Joe asked me this morning, and I thought I knew but didn't volunteer.
What is Gretsch's single best-selling guitar?
