I get tired of the "human interest" stuff. Some of its ok, but a lot of times it just gets schmaltzy.

So, I don't read a lot of it.

I don't mind most of the off-topic stuff. Olympics, coyotes, that's cool. I just despise whenever folks are pathetic in public.

As for forgiveness (and the endless annoying biblical quotes) and olympic gold ,I thought the whole point of Miss Lanie Rumble's thread was to have a place to post stuff that is not particularly relevant to guitars and Gretsches. I like Miss Rumbles place as a place to get to know other members (though it would be much improved if she served beer).

I guess my advice would be if you don't like a thread just don't bother reading it or posting there. Someday those threads will die and Miss Rumble will move on to new lovers.

Hi Jeff O(h No!!! not another I want to whine about people bitching about people who whine about those other people who bitch) . . . In another forum that I usually go to only for purely technical advice on electronics, there is one section called the parking lot, and a sub forum within that called the storm drain - if you wanna get even lower there is a sub sub forum call the septic tank. These sub forums can only be read by logged in members.

They get few posts or visitors but they do offer a place for . . . . (fill in the blanks)

One of the things I really like about the Gretsch Discussion Pages is that the censorship and control is kept to the bare minimum needed to prevent a breakdown. Few other forums have that.

That's why so many jack weeds end up here I guess.

I've learned to sift through them and ignore at my own convenience, or not.
