Happy 70th, Paul!

Certainly, Paul McCartney ranks high up on the list for people who, during my lifetime, substantially impacted America's pop culture. Love him, hate him, it makes no difference. The guy mattered.

Happy Birthday, Sir Paul. When I'm 64 now seems like a request offered in retrospect.

Happy Birthday Mr. McCartney! You are a huge influence on my thinking, playing, listening and living. Thank you for giving so much of yourself.

time fly,s by , i remember being like 8 taking this mans photo off the tv set when they played on the ed sullivan show , last week i saw him on the Queens celabration , the guy looks amazing at 70 , i just hope im still playing when im 70 . happy birthday Paul !

Keep on rockin', Paul! Maybe change those lyrics to "When I'm 94."

I remember seeing the Who a few years ago and when they sang My Generation, Roger just changed the words to "I hope I get old".

Anyway - 2 years ago, on Ringo's 70th birthday, Sir Paul joined him onstage at Radio City. We were in the 3rd row. Here's a short video (bad quality, but great night) of them playing Birthday:
