Guitar Videos on YouTube You Like?

1

What guitar players on YouTube do you like to watch? Either players who just play or those who give lessons?

I like this guy. He teaches pretty well and plays a vintage Guild, to boot.

2

Randy Richter I like too and another Guild player -

3

This British lad too is very good in teaching -

4

Then there is Tim Lerch. I enjoy watching him play. He gives some lessons but more of just tips while playing. Not as much note for note lessons. I watch for his playing not lessons -

6

Deke, great choice. I have seen him too on YouTube.

8

Great subject!

I like this young lady because she teaches a few challenging Smiths songs. This video, however, is the only one where she’s plays a Gretsch.

9

I enjoyed that Daddy Stovepipe fellow. Hmmm . . . how about a little more acoustic guitar in this thread?

Fretkiller (killr?) is worth checking out, if you don't mind the anonymity provided by his preferred camera angle:

And I'm amazed by a young guy named Josh Turner:

I watch the "Truetone Lounge" sometimes, some of their podcast interviews are really interesting. they have a three part interview with Reggie Young up that's really worth watching :

I listen to the Fretboard Journal's podcast quite a bit too.

As far as gear demos on youtube go, I've found that if I really want to see a good quick overview of a pedal that doesn't annoy me or bore me to tears, RJ Ronquillo's channel is pretty good.

Brian, great choice. I can’t believe I forgot about her. I love her videos. I’ve been learning things from her. Just the other day I was watching her. She plays well and explains well.

12

Cool Thread! I like the videos from Dweezil on D'Addario's site but It is good to see who makes good "Learning" videos, as well.

13

Some great vids here! Have really enjoyed. The Joel Paterson medley is great.

I love this amp demo.

14

I really love this guy. Hes a great instructor and really know the details of the classic rock riffs. This particular song "Casino Boogie" always baffled me...

15

Twangy is my absolute favorite on youtube, his lessons are great and he’s also a member here

16

I like the Modfather. He likes similar music to what I like and he has great guitars. He even has or had a Billy Zoom Tribute model.

Hell yes!!! This is one of my favorites from him.

18

Twangy is a big fav!!

There may be no one more talented and versatile as RJ Ronquillp.

19

Good call on RJ. I enjoy his guitar playing.

This Guy “Privetricker” is really easy to follow and has a really deep catalog of songs and genres, I’ve been watching him for years although nowadays He is known as “ James James” I believe.

I’ve actually learned a lot of stuff from him, most notably “Can’t you hear me knocking” in double drop D years ago.He has a great collection of Guitars too.

21

I enjoy Carl Verheyen guitar videos too.

22

Here is the most recent Dweezil video with Paul Franklin steel guitar player.

24

I'm a big fan of Eric Haugen's videos. He has great taste in music, doesn't just show you how to play the song but also explains a lot of the theory behind it, and includes a lot of tips on how to forge your in style and apply his tricks to other songs. He also has a rad guitar collection and some gear demos.

+1 for Twangy! Have purchased a few of his lessons. They are great.
