In a strange moment of "Where the hell did the time go" tonight, I realized that some of you have known my 2nd youngest son, Furie, personally or webilly, for some time now.
Remember when he was a very shy boy at the first Nashville Roundup?
Wouldn't pickup and play, not because he couldn't, but rather, because he thought all you could play on Gretsches was Rockabilly, and he didn't know any.

Well John, I saw the pics you posted. My goodness, that boy done well on the date front.
-

Well, he's done a lot of growing physically and in many other levels (Thank God) and he's really developed into quite a confident young man.

But I almost had a coronary when he walked out the door with his prom date. I think I said Yowsa. I can't remember.

Sharp lookin kid. Congrats! Parents who really have a part on their kids life sure make a difference. Bet you're proud. You should be.

Yeah Johh, they grow up so quick. I feel like I need to go to confession now.

I'm pretty sure I know why he's smiling.
BD, I had no idea how well he's doing.

great looking couple!
Tell him to join us in Nash this year and bring his gf.
We'll def. Have to play some metal. I'm up for it.

He looks like a giant. How tall is he?

He's really moving in lots of directions musically. Not into mega heavy death metal, but his originals rock hard. I've actually can hear the faint strains of Beatles tunes being played on a 12 string every once in a while.
He starts college in the summer, so Nashville doesn't figure in the plans for him this year, Paul.

6ft 10 inches.

Good Golly, Miss Molly.

Wow I was going to jokingly say 7 feet but I guess I wouldn't have been too far off.

He's not enjoying ducking through doorways, and really didn't like growing out of the car we bought for him a few years back which was to be his first car, a 67 VW Squareback.

Hey Brent,
Not feeling old, but just sort of surprised that this whole process seemed to have passed by rather quickly. My kids are 31, 30, 29, 18 then 13.
Watchout for the "baby"!

don't worry. he's got nothing on Shaq. when Shaq was still at LSU in Baton Rouge, I opened/unlocked his car for him. someone at a "car wash" had accidentally locked the keys inside the car. that was the first time it ever hurt my neck to look up at someone. and I'm 6'1".

What size shoe does he wear?I bet he probably prefers a wide neck on his guitars. And how tall is his date?

I don't know the answers to any of these questions.
Well, one. He'd prefer telephone poles as necks.

Who's the mermaid?
Seriously, really great pictures and look at the difference a few years make!

Oh yeah, Furie has it working for the prom. Yowsa. But, didn't his date have a chance to change when she got back from the pool. Not that anyone was complaining, I'm sure. Good looking young woman, for sure.
And, 6'10" is a tall fellow. That is inconveniently tall, I'm sure.

Why, in my day...
Furie is adorable, and certainly looks like a very happy camper!

OK I have to take back him being a double for my niece Erin and acknowledge we could never fit him in the back seat of the Blazer with all that gear. I was sure if my first thought was Princess. Jasmine or Barbara Eden from her I dream of Jeannie days in a brunette. version. There's a joke in there somewhere about crossing her arms blinking and making something some disappear on prom night. It makes me happy to see our boy doing so well John. I'm proud of him!

Furie is a most happy camper this weekend, anyway.
He got home to get changed and go to the shore(what all the kids do after the prom in NJ) and informed me that he wasn't driving, which surprised me. No, he was going to be riding down with his prom date and three other girls!
The boys rented one house and the girls another. Stay safe, children.

That's a prom dress? Wow, things have really changed.
