I had my first rehearsal with the new band today. I had been given a list of about 30 songs, thankfully I knew a bit more than half of them already. So this week I have about 12 new song's to learn. I don't need to know everything all at once, just 12 from the early years of the Stones. I suggested to start off using Chuck Berry's 'Around & Around' like the Stones did on the Ed Sullivan show and everyone agreed. It is a good rocking song to get people moving. Then 'Time is on my side' Hopefully we can do some obscure things, like 'Off The Hook''Route 66' stuff like that. but, it went well and we seemed to really be cooking on the tunes we played tonight. I was told I made a good Keith Richard except for one thing,....my hair was too neat. I said I will work on that. This opportunity came along at the right time for me, I needed something to keep me busy outside of work.
