And finally, the closing ceremonies...

at least for me. Saturday nights at NAMM end with a free-for-all drum circle. At Anaheim it was outside, echoing through the great outdoors. In Nashville, it was held in an entry hall of the Convention Center.

We caught the distant thunder, recorded a slow walkaround of the drummers (which ought to have some cool stereo motion in phones), snapped some pics, and were on our way home.

And that's Summer NAMM '08. Thanks as ever to Bax, Fred, Joe, and Mike for making this channel of communication possible. Keep the cards and letters coming!

awesome reporting really enjoyed the pics of down town nashville is an awesome place or at least it was when i was 14 lol i saw my aunt get her shot on the grand ole opry, and my grandpa did a reel with his freind chet(wich i now own) any way thanks for the resparked memorys and report!!

I love John Sebastian...he was my first influence back in the wilds of 1970, when i first started hacking around on a Stella 12-string. what i really liked about him is that his whole thing was about spreading happy to people...he didn't do misery, he did smiles.

JC, as far as I know, the plan is for me to do CAAS, yep. That will have a very different vibe, I'm sure, and I'm looking forward to it.

If it works as I imagine, there'll be LOTS of great audio.
