The POINT is, I STILL have a bit more material to post. Real life has intervened, and I'm fitting this in around the edges.
There are more odds and ends, sure, but also more CGP players and audio clips – and the Butts Jet saga. (Don't count on the Butts saga right away; it's going to take some work.)
But the rest of it I'll try to clean up pretty promptly.

And since the point is to hear the incredible performers, I'll give everyone a chance to go through all of it. Say, three hours? That means no answers will be accepted till 3 A.M. US Eastern time. Midnight Pacific time. I don't know WHAT time that is in Europe, but it ought to give those fellas a chance too.
Don't bother posting your answer before that, unless you want to give it away to someone who'll post at the appointed hour. (Of course answers are accepted till all the questions are answered, and the Pokes awarded.)

First up, the ever-cool CJ Jones, the Boss rep who shared Broadway Sound's space along with Gretsch. CJ had a pedalboard full and some digital recorders he demo'ed for appreciative CAASites.
I noticed, oddly enough, that Chetpickers aren't nearly as pedal-adverse as some rockers! Many especially appreciate delay (RE-20s sold out); loopers and subtle signal enhancers are also popular.

Tim Thiel, czar of apparel and collectibles for FMIC, always an entertaining and helpful guy at an event such as this. His business card says he's Fender's "Token Lead Singer."

... and a wonderful moment with Fred and Dinah's grandson Logan Gretsch, who was entranced by Bobby Gibson and the stereo CGP. When Bobby noticed Logan's wide-eyed fascination, he played a kid-friendly medley which kept the lad engrossed: "It's a Small World," "Chim-Chim-Cheree," and the like.
Who knows but what those moments will stick in Logan's mind as the first time he really noticed electric guitar, and become the seed of a lifelong fascination with the family's musical heritage...
Adventures in TV-Land
Lindsey and I both took pics around TV's display throughout the convention. Tom was nearly always busy. If you bought pickups at the show, you either got a discount or paid full price and Tom would install and adjust them for you.
He also inspected and tweaked showgoer's guitars for them. Pretty cool stuff.
And I believe that concludes my coverage of the show in this particular thread.
Remember...
You know, looking at the pictures from CAAS, one might get the impression that Lindsey walks around all day holding a pair of pickups and waiting for a photo op. 
When she's not practicing her Kung Fu, of course.
Except when she's practicing guitar...

Ok, I was wondering what to say. The answer to question 8 is Muriel Anderson.

Misty was played (fantastically well) by Smokin' Joe Robinson.
It's not that it's such a HUGE deal to win a Pickers' Poke (though I realized today they're also perfect for stowing mini-hard-drives and other such computer peripherals for travel) – it's that I'm trying to encourage y'all to listen to this amazing concert.

So far, Gretschmaster wins for getting both parts of #8 right: Muriel Anderson's mandolin teacher, Jethro Burns, was Chet's brother-in-law, and Chet did an album with Muriel in the mid-90s. Congrats and a Poke to Gmaster.
Michael69 wins for identifying Bobby Gibson with "Misty" – though it was Smokin' Joe Robinson I had in mind, because he played it at the concert itself.
So Michael and Deke Martin both win there.
drjoe has Richard Smith and friends playing "Alabama Jubilee," and they may have, somewhere sometime. I'll have to research that a little, and get back to him on the Poke. But someone else played it at the concert, and actually announced it.
