I have a DM-3 and love it. BEST slapback I've ever got besides using an actual tape delay unit.
I've had a carbon copy, and an RE-20 pedal. The DM-3 is much better. The carbon copy was too wet sounding in the mix, it got muddy fast. The RE-20 was kind of sterile sounding compared to the DM-3.
I picked mine up for $175. Get one!

DM3's are the ducks nuts! Got one on Tavo's advice, did the resistor/diode jumper mod and now plays well with the piwer supply!
