50’s tube Radio extension speaker

1

Been spending a lot of time in my Garage Shop recently.

I’ve been a local AM Radio Fan for a long time and it’s on a lot while I’m working.

I’ve always wondered if I could add a satellite speaker For this tube radio to the other side of the garage.

Will this unit power a 4 ohm speaker?

I’ll post the specs on the next page.

Thanks

Ought to be fine with a 4 Ohm speaker. I'd be keeping the wire run as short as possible (under 20'). You won't really need a heavy gauge wire, either. 20-24 Gauge should do..

Lots of AM table radios were 35W4 rectifier and 50C5 output tube... which generated a mighty 2 watts and Danelectro used this for their smallest little guys w/ 6" speakers.

Exactly, output is 50C5 and rectifier is 35W4.
