Saw John Pizzarelli perform yesterday

Second time I've seen him. Threw in a bunch of Christmas tunes. Such great tone out of guitar and amp, no effects. Awesome chops - 7 strings to boot! Glad he's keeping the Great American Songbook alive.

Seen him once, nearby. Amazing musician. Also keeping the 7 string tradition alive. I think his dad knew Van Eps and used a Gretsch 7 string at least for a while.

Always good to see, great linage and all.

I have watched countless vids of John and Buzzy, just great...

Johnnie and I had the very good fortune of seeing John Pizzarelli several months ago while he was touring for his "Midnight McCartney" album.
What a consummate showman/singer/guitarist. He expertly wove all the songs together with his between songs stories and his playing was superb. After the show, I asked him about his guitars. He said they are built by Bill Moll in Springfield, Missouri. He had one of the most natural sounding amplified guitar tone I've ever heard. If he is ever in your area, GO. You won't be disappointed.
