Man, it was very nice as usual. Three new songs and his latest radio single sounded very nice live on stage.

We must have some rapport since he gave me two tickets. Evil Eric came along of course and I introduced an other colleague of mine to Danny. We sure did have a good time.

There were some technical problems but the audience never paid any attention as Danny and his crew had smart work-arounds.

You see the mini acoustic intermezzo with the pinstripe Gretsch on the rack in the background.

Soon the rest of the Club Tour will start.

We all bought his studio session DVD and got it signed. Evil Eric was called "gangsta" and I was crowned "old wiener". Very strange, because I'm not that old!

I helped guitarist Ian out, because his BadCat amp head went "poof". In Tongeren (Belgium) lives amp doctor Yves and he will heal the poor amp. It's in intensive care now.

Is it just me, or do the f-holes in that 5120 in Geoff's post #51 look HUGE?

I'm some guitars behind now. Seems Danny Vera has 10 Gretsches now.

His last two are a black 512X and the new Aspen Green electro.

As you can see, I went to the latest Chris Isaak show.

It was my second CI gig and I must say, if you can go see him then do go see him. You won't regret it, even when you don't like his music all that much. The show will make you a true believer.

But anyhow, Danny Vera also went to the Chris Isaak gig. Last show, Danny was the opening act and it seems Chris and Danny got along very well.

Danny has visited Chris in the hotel where he was staying, to hang out. When the show was over, Danny got to visit Chris back stage. I couldn't come along, which was quite a disappointment of course.

But hey, there is something, even for mere mortals. I got the latest Danny Vera CD to ease the pain. It wasn't out yet but I got one!

Thanks Danny! It's great to know you and it's a very nice CD too.

An ideal CD for the car stereo. Any trip will be way more nice when Danny sings!

November 22 in 2012 I had the privilege to see both Danny Vera and James Burton in one show.

Later on, I will post about the Gretsch Demo Day in the Netherlands, at Guitarstudio Jos Rentmeester. Since Danny was there, it will be quite Danny related info. It's a mini-version of what Rocky does in New York. Even though it's not a Street Sounds sized event, we had lots of fun and I can tell you it was a big succes.

Friend of mine happens to be a camera man for national Dutch television. When he's bored, he takes iPhone shots. Sometimes of Danny Vera.

And Danny has found a leather work craftsman. He made him an Elvis style guitar cover.

Note there are many Gretsches in the background. All bought without endorsement.
