Pots for T’Armonds?

1

I replaced a bridge Powertron Plus on my PowerJet with a T'Armond in the filtertron form factor, but feel that it could be a bit more open-sounding and twangier. Is going to a 1meg pot the thing to do?

OK - thanks!

I thought others may chime in so I left my answer short. I replaced the 500 K pots in my Duo Jet with 1 meg and the tone did open up. Not only more highs but more of everything. It's like releasing the Dolby noise reduction button on an old cassette player.

Thanks, BuddyHollywood - this is very encouraging to hear and I appreciate both the short and long form answers!

The greater the value of the pots...the less they affect the tone. The smaller they are, the more they suck tone and volume.
