hello GP..new to the site,looks great..i am the proud owner a beautiful 5120,walnut..got it a few months and it sounds great..still playing with the stock gretschbuckers..i want to upgrade.after doing some research i feel the the surf 90s would be great..they seem to be a nice pickup.for a great price..what do you guys think? i want some more twang, but i want to be able to rock as well...thanks GP

I've got Surf 90s in my 5120 and love them. Everything from surf to punk rock they work great.

Here's a link to some sound clips I did with mine. They are a touch brighter in person, but you get the idea. I'm really happy with them, and any other GFS pickups I've heard.

I am not personally familiar with the Surf 90's, cassidy, but I am familiar with TV Jones' after-market pickups and they are fantastic. Unfortunately, they cost a bit more than the GFS pups, most likely, but they are worth every penny.

thanks..i think Im gonna go with the 90s..after reading through some other posts,they seem to be a good choice.. do you know will the 90s they have featured on gfs site fit into my 5120? Ive never done this kind of work before
