I have a humbucker sized tv classic plus with a black cover. I emailed tv to ask if I could buy a white cover to replace it. Haven't gotten a response yet. I'm thinking maybe this means no... Has anyone seen a tv pickup with a white cover though?

Speaking of TVJ's bezel and cover options, here is one I really don't understand. His Gibson style pickup bezels for English mount Filters only come with flat bottoms. Basically that means for the most part that if you have an SG or slab top LP, he's got you covered.

However if you have a Les Paul, 335, or any other archtop styled guitar, you're out of luck. Which, by the way, is the biggest part of the market.

I'm currently doing a Les Paul style kit guitar build that I am putting ceramic Filters in as a lot of you already know. It is currently at Curt's shop getting the finish put on. I had to order a set of the flat bottomed bezels and then send them to Curt to arch the bottoms for me. The only plus here is that Curt will arch them to match the body arch perfectly.

My question is why would TVJ limit his market so much? I would think that if he just offered both black and cream with flat and curved bottoms he'd really broaden his market.

I'm sure you could order a generic white cover from a big online parts dealer and drill the holes yourself. If not I can cut you a white decal (with pole holes) to apply on the face.

Steve, those filter rings are molded. I'm pretty sure he would have to get a new mold made for that type of spec. Big bucks but I bet they would sell.

The plastic rings are pretty brittle. Once you start sanding on the clear ones you'd have to polish them back to clear before back painting. A lot of work that's for sure, but could be done...just gotta be careful and not snap it. Might be easier to make a clear base with a bottom radius & flat top to add under the filter surround.
