Someone here posted a bunch of soundclips, including some with plenty of dirt.
Conduct a search and you might find those clips.
I was pretty impressed on how they handled hi-gain stuff.

Ripley posted those sound clips. The Surf 90's can handle gain.

And there you are, there's a few parts with some gain, and a few with a lot of gain.
I will say that this is not the best sound I've gotten from these pickups. I didn't have my amp loud enough, and was using a really dark cabinet (orange 2x12 with V30s).
I used my 5120 with Surfs as a backup for my AC/DC band with a fair bit of gain and a shit load of volume and it took it like a champ. For punk stuff it's my favorite of my 5120, 5124 (stock), and my 5129 with Dynas).

I want to shoot some video comparisons of my 3 hollows, maybe I'll try to grab a clip of the 5120 tomorrow and see if I can get a usable higher gain sound. I'm using my iPhone for video, so I'm not sure how it'll turn out yet.

I play in a psychobilly band and my Surf 90s take all the gain I throw at them. My Surfs are in a solid body though...
