Anyone Need a Mellotron on yer Pedal Board?

This may have been discussed in the past and if so, pardon. It's not something I would use after a bit of messing with it, I'm sure, but I thought it was interesting, nonetheless. You can get 'em used on the 'bay for about $175, or so.

It's pretty cool.

Wakeman in a box!

Well sorta-kinda.

Too different from the samples I've used to be said that it's realistic, but it gets some of the features really close.

It's useful.

Realistic, like a Mellotron ever was? Ha!

I'd prefer a Chamberlain, with all the human voices tapes!

+1. the pedal interests me more than it should, but given the differences between chord voicing on guitar vs. keys i'd rather play a synth patch.

You can get that on your iPad.

Love my Mel9. On my main set of boards, it's an always-available separate signal path, with some after-processing for stereo image and EQ as needed.

I find that entire line of keys-emulating pedals from EHX fascinating.

I shouldn't want this. And yet...

Pretty cool sounds, although the brass, sax and trumpet didn't seem to work as well as the previous sounds.
