Having a strange issue with my dearmond m77t. 2 dearmond pickups, 2 volumes, 2 tones, 3 way switch. In the middle position, with both volumes on 10, the level is much lower than either pickup selected individually. When I adjust either volume in the mid position, the shift from 10 to say, 9.5 is like I threw a switch to favor one pickup. Otherwise the pots work gradually; just that initial rolloff from 10. I've changed all pots, switch and jack, I've wired the volumes independently, and now back to standard wiring. No luck. Any ideas?

Sounds like a phase issue-is one of the pickups a replacement?

both appear to be original white 2k's. since the guitar still had plastic on it, I'm guessing all original. It does have odd pickup wires-- gray housing with SKINNY leads and ground. looks like there's a lead (brown) and then a black wire that's connected to the bare ground. reverse this on one of the pickups? The middle position volume is so much lower and thin, maybe that is it. these wires are so skinny it's really hard to trim housing without trimming length... very few strands of wire in there!
