What problems did you have with your JM? Was it intonation or strings popping out of the saddles?
I called to order a mustang bridge from two different suppliers and they said it wouldn't help. Oh my JM is a 62 AVRI.
marctrain57 said: In addition to the tunamatic an mustang bridge works well on my Jazzmaster as it would I am sure here..

Do these come with a tuneamatic now? Or do you have to order extra?

Konrad, yeah, this came with t-o-m bridge. Which suits me fine, I'm not a purist. It's make for better intonation too

That's awesome...
I really, really dug the tone on mine when I had it. But that damn bridge caused too many problems gigging.

My 62 reissue Jag had the strings not popping out so much as the grub screws would vibrate loose and lower the action and then cause the strings to slide out after massive surf attack.......
I bought the modified Mustang bridge from allparts or Warmoth I think and it totally worked. The other issue is from the factory thay had 4 shims to create a hard angle over the bridge.
These are teste....(funny words are fun...ny)
but seriously, they are challenging. I found that 2 shims, the mustang bridge and 11's which is another side to the string popping equation help creat a near perfect action and no string popping issues. Light strings are a big factor. With the shorter scale you could slap 13's on it and they will still be fun.
Once you find the middle ground, the Jaguar is a killer guitar.
This one with the TOM bridge is the Classic Players series and is getting great reviews at a great price point and eliminating the issues sort of. I have heard the electronics are touch and go but that can be remedied and still have a great guitar for under $1000. There is a double humbucker version and the Jazzmaster has me giddy like a school girl, looking to play one.
I hope new colors come to play like Sherwood Green or even better Goldflake or some killer stuff liek that. But your sunburst looks great man. Looks great

Real nice Jag Bonedaddy. I've been eyeing these lately (I have a general case of GAS lately and a moderate amount of cash)...one question I have for Bonedaddy: have you had the pickguard off yet and is there a channel so you can adjust the truss rod without removing the neck?
