I just put together a nice "framed" collage of my guitar collection and it came out pretty good (if I do say so), so I figured I would share it with the gang!

Nice! I think I've had BOTH your 4-string model basses!
Cool rug too.
very nice! i should have snaged some voxes when i had the chance. things happen, very cool!
yah,nice rug-
Neat, is that Dano a baritone or 6-string bass?
audiodrome, can you share with me a little bit about your Voxes? What era are they from? Were they made in England? Italy? Can you describe the tonal qualities (I know, that is a hard one to do)?
I purchased some years ago a Phantom replica of the Vox Phantom 6-string. It is a fun guitar. I have never fully bonded with the Kent Armstrong pickups on it, but I still play it anyway. But, I have read, and heard from others, that the original Voxes were not particularly GOOD guitars, but were simply very cool looking guitars that many, during the British Invasion in particular, played. (Brian Jones in the Stones, Tony Hicks in the Hollies, etc., etc.)
I would love to hear your thoughts on playability, construction, tonal properties, etc.
(If you would prefer not to derail this thread, you could do so in another new thread.)
The rug really ties the whole picture together.
Ah... we're back to the rug again.
Nice collection! That would make a great poster.
Oh yeah, snazzy rug!
Very cool collection!
Vox Phantoms: Didn't Dave Wakeling in the English Beat play one as well?

The white one is a '66 British (made in UK) Phantom and the red one is a '67 US (made in Italy) Phantom. The middle guitar is a 1968 Kawai MS-170 Vox Starstream copy. The US Phantom has kind a nondescript "bland" sound, but the UK Phantom has a nice bright Telecaster-like tone. To be honest, none of the Voxes can really compete with my Gretsch, Rickenbacker or Fender guitars, sound-wise, but the "cool factor" does go a LONG way!
It was a baritone that I converted to a 6-string bass.Cool - oringinal? Reissue? I had a 2006 RI bari I converted to take Bass VI (E-e) strings. The 28.75" scale held up pretty well, and sounded like a "real" bass through the right amp*.
* The right amp is always an SVT.
