I'm thinking of getting one of the new Dano Hornet Baritones. Anybody know if anybody makes flatwounds for a baritone these days?

Ive looked and as far as i can tell the answer is no. I get a lot of string noise with my baritone and id love some flats so if you find any let me know.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find anything. I wonder if a set could be pieced together using a combo of bass and regular flatwounds?

I bought a Dano baritone a few weeks ago, and the seller gave me a set of D'Addario Chromes, .013-.056, part #ECG26. They're just long enough and sound great!

La Bella makes a flatwound set for the Fender VI, though that's not quite the baritone you're looking for.
JustStrings sells strings individually; you might be able to piece together a custom set of bari flats from guitar & 6-string bass (the modern wide-neck type).

What's the scale length on your dano Fritz? I think the new ones are 30".
Thanks dignan, I'll give juststrings a try.
