It's going to be tough, being a post Chicago (Taiwanese) Kay. There's not tremendous interest in Kays in general, and virtually none in the later Asian models.
General consensus is that they were just pushed out to fill out the bottom end of the market after it became too expensive to do that with US manufacture.
In other words, most Kays were always pretty basic guitars, and were often sold where-ever, under whatever brand name. I once had a Sears Silvertone Kay, for example.
That Kay -- the Chicago-based Kay -- made some pretty interesting instruments, but then went through a few different ownerships in the late 60s before finally going bankrupt in '69.
After that the bones were picked apart and the company eventually became nothing more than a label slapped on any far-east guitar the owners thought they could sell. I've seen "kay" pointy ibanez ripoffs.
However, there was a bit of a Teisco connection at one point, and yours does look vaguely Teisco-ish, so maybe that's a clue.

Funny that you mention teisco, the pickups and trem look just like a teisco et-200 but in the past I've never had a problem finding info on a Kay

I'm actually wondering if it's that rare or that insignificant

I think it's a model KT-200. Probably made in Taiwan.
