The Ross Compressor is Back

it never really left...so many modern boutique comps are based on it's circuit...

tho, for vintage style comp, i always preferred the dan armstrong orange squeezer comp blueprint

True enough. It's more about the story of the grandson bringing the line back. When vintage Rosses routinely sell for over 500.00 - and there are dozens of clones and near-clones - it makes ample business sense to revive the original. I hope the kids make good.

A '61 Strat through a Ross compressor, a Maestro phase shifter and an Lpb-2 into a '64 small cab Bassman. That was my sound in the early '70s. I've never had another setup quite like it.

It's just a compressor. Always ends up in the dusty pedal draw whatever it is.

IMHO a strat or tele isn't complete without one.
