Tech 21 Boost DLA

I bought this because I needed one for my set up that I can use in a band situation. So far it has been a great addition to my guitar rig. Easy to use if you are used to delays. The Flutter (detuned repeats) Tone ( roll off highs for that analog sound) make this pedal great IMHO, the Boost is the feature that really makes this unit sing. Has the usual Mix, Feedback, and Tone controls. Come's in a nice case, vintage knobs, and heavy switch. Ship's in a neat little Tech 21 Carrying case. Got it as a scratch & dent only thing wrong I caould see was the carrying case had a dent in it If you like thick, vintage sounding delay this pedal is the closest that come's to it . Quiet, great output, warm and lush sounding.

I have several Tech 21 amps and pedals. It's all first-rate stuff that I use daily.

I have had the Original Tech 21 SansAmp for years, never had a problem with it and always worked great.

I was at a street fair and heard a band from a block away or so. and thought man what a great tone for a out door gig. When I went to see what they were usin' I was really suprised that both guitar players had the tech 21 amps. sounded fantastic.

Ditto on the Boost DLA. I bought a MXR Carbon Copy just 'cause, and I have gone back to the Tech 21. I like the tone control as well, but I like it all the way trebly, or anti-analog, if you will. The MXR repeats are just not clear enough for what I do. It sounds really nice and organic, trippy, old timy, etc, but when youre doing really fast slapback, I get lost if I cant hear it. I may use the Tech 21 as the primary slap, and then the Carbon copy as an off tempo , room type echo with it at the same time.

I just picked up their Reverb/Boost for a song, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Based on what you guys are saying, it sounds like I'm in for a real treat!

I have the BoostRVB (I bought it because I was so happy with the DLA) and sorry dude, but it is not for me. I hope you like it. It is supposed to replicate a spring reverb, but I couldnt get a good sound out of it. Maybe too many knobs or something. If you get it to sound good, please shoot me your knob settings and I'll give it a whirl.
