I have a Gretsch G5120 and I am having a hell of a time finding where to buy this Rocking Bar Bridge, Chrome, Rosewood Base.
Part#: 006-2616-000
Anyone sell this or can ship it to me? I've looked everywhere...my local store Long & McQuade says a 30-40 day backorder...so who knows how long that would take...

Well...according to Long & McQuade it would cost me $55...
Well what I was getting at is that you can get one on eBay relatively cheaply (like this one), or you can get one of Proteus' Tru-Arc Bar bridges. They are Bar bridges that are superior, basically.
You can read about them here. It's pretty unanimous so far that for a little extra cash, you get a lot better bridge.

Does Tru-Arc bridge fit on my Adjusto-matic base or only on a Rocking Bar Bridge base?

I listened to Proteus and Troy's clips (man that guy is amazing) ...it's hard to describe the difference in sound but to me the Aluminum is the most unique ...if it makes any sense ...it's got more of a banjo twang to it...i dunno.
That really depends on what you consider a classic Gretsch should sound like. What does a classic steak taste like, Porterhouse, T-Bone, or Sirloin?
There is no wrong choice. I like the aluminum and the brass. The aluminum has the brightest sound to my ear with the most percussive snap. Your banjo analogy is a good one. The brass adds sustain and a little mellowness and the stainless is somewhere in between to my ears.
