i'll work on it today, Pro...i'm going to put the Tuna back on the PJ for the time being. the sustain on the Les Paul has made the slight sitar effect of the misaligned slots unbearable. but i'll put tape on it to capture the correct angle and then send you a graphic.

Hey sroux. I didn't want ya to think that I forgot about the sound clips. I just haven't gotten the bridge yet.

The first Tru-Arc bridge has officially shipped - Troy should be seeing it very soon.
I'm hoping most of the other orders will ship by the end of next week. I'll be anxious to see what the brave early adopters think of their pioneering purchases...

My '66 has a 14" radius. What's up with that? Someone in Brooklyn musta been needing new blades on the planer. My Tenny is in a 1000 pcs. right now, but when I get it back together it needs a new bridge. I bought a vintage bar some years ago and busted it in my vise trying to get the right radius. BTW, are these non-breakable?

Huh-huh! We can make you one at 14", and it won't matter if it's unbreakable. Message me for details!

I have an old aluminum Bigsby bridge that I'm going to modify and see how that works. Over and above the radius thing, is the string spacing. The Hilos, which are not all that strong to begin with, can't have a bridge with anything over a 2" spread. What will the string spacing be on the Tru-Arcs?

On a custom order, whatever you want. The bridges come from a metal fabrication shop in Columbus, Ohio which invested in custom tools to build the bridges as precisely as possible. It's a can-do sort of operation.

Even if I get the Bigsby bridge worked out, I 'll probably still order one Proteus. It'll be a few weeks or so, as my guitar is currently under construction.

Kinman has one here, though it doesn't measure every possibility.
Pickguardian has a pair which covers more radii here.

I have acquired the Tru-Arc! Can't wait to give this a whirl! It feels to be much lighter in weight than the brass (mine's aluminum). I may take them both to the grocery store and weigh them in the produce aisle scales.

Uhh...I thought you'd put it on your guitar! It's not guaranteed to match the radius of the platform on the scale.

I was kidding about weighing the bridge at the grocery store. I'm putting the bridge on today. Looks great, Proteus!

And the thing sounds spanky! It made my DSW feel much more "comfortable" to play. Take my word for it. I had to adjust the intonation a hair, re-assess the bridge height, lower a couple of polepieces on the Dynas, etc. And it all came together very well. It's not the last Tru-Arc that I will buy. The brass bar bridge may sound a bit "richer" than aluminum, but the aluminum is "spanky". I like "spanky". Hey sroux, send me an email. I'll send you some sound clips if ya want.

Nice! Spanky is good
Sounds like it's going to do exactly what I wanted. The spank of the Bigsby with the sustain of the bar.
Can't wait to hear my 6120 once I have it on!
Yep...I'd love some clips...
