Guyatone or Fender Reverb‘63 Reissue

1

Who has had expierence with both of these? Which do you prefer? I have recently purchased a Fender '63 Reissue but now am wondering if I have passed up something more gooder.

Billy..I looked on your site and found no information on the Little Kahuna Reverb. I'm interested where can I get the specs for this unit. It looks bad-ass by the pictures I have seen.

Thanks for the link JB.......

I have a kahuna as well. Fantastic reverb and great tremolo as well. It's my favourite tremolo.

Send me your email address and I'll send you the spec sheet.

I have one of the Guyatone tube reverb units and had one of the RI Fender (non modded) units before that. I personally like the sound of the Guyatone better. It sounds like a modded RI Fender unit to my ears for much less $. The downside is how truly ugly looking the thing is. I have heard negative things about the Guyatone's durability on the road, but I only used it for live gigs for maybe 15 shows (no issues).

I did the two main mods on the Fender reissue reverb and it's 97 percent as good as my original.

1) Change out Chinese tubes. 2) Change the C10 or whatever cap it is. Details to be found in a google search.

Never heard of Guyatone but took a look having read about it here. It would lose on the basis of it's looks even if it sounded better than an original Fender Reverb Unit.
