Any of you folks have/had one of these pedals?
What's the "good, bad, and ugly"?

I think they're up to the 4th version of this pedal now and all seem a little different. There's a bit of a tutorial on them here:

If you click on the pdf file on that page it explains some of the differences of the first three versions. I've tried version 2 and 1, and I much preferred the latter for my setup. I think it can be a pretty transparent overdrive and I switch between using it and a Hotcake for most low to mid-gain stuff.
The tone knob is very true to your original tone at 12 o'clock, and the HP/LP switch gives you two different voicings, which can be a good thing. The LP keeps your tone incredibly faithful, while the HP setting cranks the bass and mids a bit, increases the gain across the board and sounds very "British" (think Marshall/Vox), at least to my ears.
It's true bypass and plays well with other pedals, and the switch doesn't "pop" at all. It's also very touch sensitive and doesn't add too much compression (especially at lower gain settings). It compresses a bit more on the HP setting though.
I use it to make a 30 watt Vox and a 40 watt Allen (think blackface Fender Super Reverb) sound like they're being pushed harder at lower volumes and I like it very much for this purpose. I like it better than my other overdrives for lower-powered pickups like Hilo'trons, as it can really boost the signal without changing the fundamental tone.
As far as negatives go, I do find that it seems to sound much better and more "full" when run on 12 or 18v versus a standard 9v. I use the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power to power it at 18v and I really could hear a big difference.
Again, I can't speak for the newest version, but I can only imagine it sounds as good or better than the version 1 that I have.
Thanks 229, this is the "stuff" that I wanted to hear from players around here. One up for you
Appreciate the input, and I have been "reading up" about these units. The more I read, the more I like what it has to offer....potentially.
I'm playing either through an AC30 or a low power tweed TwinAmp. If it works for both amps..great, but if it only works for one, that's OK too.
Thanks again.
