I've had one on order for quite a while and am looking forward to some Jangly goodness. It sounds like a pretty small operation as they were assembling a batch and ran into parts issues, so it'll be a while longer. Quite spendy, but it seems most of the higher quality pedals are in the $200 range.
Anyone bought a Janglebox?

A Janglebox is a compressor that is very popular with owners of Rickenbackers. They help provide that "jangly" type sound of the Byrds. There is in fact some issue between Rickenbacker and the makers of the Janglebox in that Rickenbacker has some issue as to whether any of the janglebox circuitry was copied from the onboard compressor on the Roger McGuinn sig Rick 370.
I have a Janglebox and its a damn fine compressor. I can't really say its that much better than its leading competitor but only you can judge it after trying one.

So much so, that it's against the rules to even talk about the Janglebox on the official Ric forum. From what I've heard, the Barber Tone Press does an equally good job. I haven't tried a JB side-by-side, but the TP made my DynaComp completely unnecessary. Someday, I'd like to try the Electro-Harmonix White Finger (FET) & Black Finger (tube). -

I love my JangleBox. My Ric 12 does not leave home without it. The company is based in Northern VA and the owner is very helpful. I thought is was designed after the Fairchild? studio compressor from the '60s.

Serendipitous upthrust of ancient thread.
Recently acquired same. Miniscule if any difference between the JB and any number of other compressors, from the DynaComp to the TonePress.
The JB's claim to fame is a treble boost that sounds like Roger McGuinn's 12-string on early Byrds records.
You can decide if having that exact frequency dialed in is worth the money. I haven't made up my mind yet. But it can't replace the transparent operation of a TonePress, so if it remains on the pedalboard, it's as a special-effects compressor...
