I don't use pedals much at all, but have a DANO TUNA MELT I get a nice 60's muscle shoals sound on R&B songs you can buy them for about thirty bucks
A decent tremolo pedal.

I continue to enjoy the Surf-Trem.
After buying and using it, I purchased the Red Repeat, which now stays on everytime I play.

MXR Tremolo. That one seems like a winner. I think it costs more than 100 bucks though. Nice pedal.

OK just tried the Danelectro Cool Cat Tremolo CT 1 and I'm pretty impressed. True bypass, it's noise free when it's on and it does the retro/modern trick thanks to the hard/soft switch. I think it's great value and it's more versatile than the Surf Trem - which I'd also rate highly.

Remember how I said I wanted a Seymour Duncan Trem? Well, I just got one for my birthday from my oldest boy! It is incredible. No tone sucking, volume is the same, true bypass, click tempo or rate knob which is defaulted by the click, too cool!

The Carl Martin sounds great for the price, but I ended up selling mine because it's stupid big and large - while there's hardly anything inside.
The tremolo pedal I've been most impressed with is the Fulltone Supa-Trem - expensive, but you'll probably keep it forever. (I just think it's a little large too...

I went through two Tuna Melts before I got tired of breaking them. Just not built for road use.
I switched to the Rocktron Pulse-Trem and was pretty happy with it-- at least it had a tough metal housing w/a heavy duty switch.
However, now that I use a Kustom '72 Coupe, its combined synchronized Tremolo/Vibrato circuit does everything I want.
Still occasionally use the Rocktron with my Fender Deluxe 112 though.
If the "new" Dano's are based on the Tuna-Melt circuitry, they probably sound pretty good. Those old Tuna's had alot of bang for the buck.
