Someone at Crate actually had the idea to have a 600 W amp built... Then he/she managed to get it approved, then built. I think you can pop your eardrums with a quarter of its capacity. Insane...

Technically, 600 watts is "only twice as loud" as a 60-watt amp. You reach a point of diminishing returns pretty rapidly.
It's obviously just a promotional stunt, a trade show Stonehenge. Let me know if you ever see someone using one at a gig.
