Monoprice amps?

1

a coworker turned me on to this site, which has hella cheap small amps: a 5 watt tube amp with spring reverb and a Celestion speaker for $99, and a 15 watt tube amp with spring reverb + Celestion for $199.99. from internet searching they appear to be a rebadged version of the Laney Cub amps. anybody know anything about these amps or have any input?

I have the 15 watter, and it’s a good value for the money. I paid $139 shipped on sale last year. Some have complained online about the cheap reverb tank, but mine has held up fine. Nice little budget bedroom amp - just dont expect it to be a Vox AC15 quality-wise.

They've got a wide range of gear, from guitar amps and stereo amps, to stage lighting gear. Looks to be decent "bang for the buck" gear.

I have had the 5 watt for a couple of years but rarely play it. Great Bang for the Buck!

Yep. Just know that you are buying disposable tech. A guy recently brough a Blackstar amp to me and it was made with tiny SMD components like a computer motherboard. They aren't feasible to repair. And in most cases it would be cheaper to discard it an buy another one.

But that's what we do with computers and tvs already, so.....
