Well first amps I saw were Vox from Brit Invasion. Then Ampeg and some Guilds (since they were in NJ) then Fender, then Marshall and Sunn from power trios, Woodstock, etc.
Now here in The Modern World I am seeing all these new to me names. They all start with B. Some may be boutiques, others mass production. Others started as boutique, went mass production... I sure as hell don't know. Can someone clue me in on these... I have my guesses-- but probably way off
Bad Cat -- semi boutique ?
Blackheart-- no freekin clue
Blackstar-- Chinese DogMeat for the budget minded shredder
Bogner -- hi end $tuff?
Boss -- Well Boss is Roland, so re branded Roland with some marketing twist
Bruno -- Vox like hi-end?
Budda -- maybe more of a 90s boutique thing
Bugera -- re branded Behriinger -- fools no one.
Anyway, it's a whole New World out there. For what I do, this DV Mark Little Jazz 50 is great. For nostalgia's sake, I plan to own one 10 watt tube amp.

Bad Cat - wasn't that a matchless offshoot? Boutique
Blackheart I don't know either
Blackstar - wouldn't want one as a gift.
Bogner - High end indeed. Well made, expensive amps
Bruno - boutique, not just voxy, their "cowtippers" are blackface Fender inspired amps. The few I've played were very impressive.
Bad Cat is boutique. Started with Matchless, became Bad Cat. Then Matchless re-started. Long story. But BC offers 2 series:
Hand-wired, heavy: boutique
Military-grade PC, lighter, cheaper: semi-boutique (better quality than fender PCB amps). Still fully assembled in the US, cabinets made and covered in the US. There's more hard wiring in them than in fender's PCB amps.
Some of those brands have different series. Often made in different places with different designs and offered at different pricepoints. Blackstar is a good example. From beginner stuff to handwired. Even Bad Cat had an overseas production, AFAIK.

Here's mine:
Man that’s a lotta knobs.
Thanks for filling me in on the invasion of Modern-World Amps that start with B.
There's more choice now than there ever has been.
I've got a 1949 and a 1950 Bogen.
I have to make a confession - my electric guitar amp is a Blackstar. Oh yeah, and it's a kiler amp!!
My Blackstar Silverline Special 50

2 channels. And the channel reverb knobs don't count: the reverb sucks LOL.
