after 6 years of stalwart service, my fender deluxe reverb reissue wouldn't switch on without blowing fuses. thought it was the rectifier. no dice. turns out that it was the power transformer.

so.... i used this as an opportunity to clean house. i replaced all the iron (4 trannies) with mercury magnetics transformers, and i'm replacing the PCB with a hoffman turret board from the airtight garage, so i should be completely handwired when i'm done.

i love the DRRI. it's perfect for what i need: spanky and clean with a tele or 6119 and mean and nasty with my les paul. now i just hope it'll be even better...
