Now that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is COOL!!!
I see endless possibilities for a solo performer such as myself - not only with the vocals; but also with the guitar and the occassional addition of keyboards. I don't like using backing tracks when I perform live because it takes so much of the realism away. Even if I made the tracks myself, it's hard to get in the flow, if you know what I mean.
Thanks a bunch g6120. This "up" is for you.

That's just like the Digitech Vocalist. Those devices are very cool. The guy I sometimes sit in with has two of them so we can back each other up. The sound quality is amazingly realistic! The Digitech one also has a MIDI controller (via the Variax guitar) so that the harmonies can change depending on what chords you're playing.

I also do solos and have used my vocalist in the past although not lately just 'cause I got got tired of hauling all that crap! I was controlling it with the midi out on my GR33 and used to do Seven Bridges Road with 4 part harmony. I also fed my guitar and synth into a stereo volume/pan pedal and could morph my leads from guitar to synth in the middle of a solo. Blew the folks away!
