They Sold a Million — 2nd review

Well, if the last half of 70s was the era for Rockpile, the 1st half was Badfinger. So this short doc shows their origin, paying dues, getting signed to Apple, early 70s success including their association with George Harrison, (has shots of what probably is the Harrison SG that Peter Ham owned) epic ripoff by crooked US money man, to the age 27 suicide of leader Pete Ham, and Tom Evans in the 1980s.

Friends and family weigh in in recent interviews. Still that album Straight Up --hardly a bad song on it. Still, a cautionary tale.

At the time I thought they were the future of music. I’ve seen this. Sad ending.
