a liitle late for the season, but still a great video
Very nice! Does the bass player ever smile?
I checked out their in a gadda da vida you tube. Great job!
Ha! Great concept for a band. (Comments based on youtubing more of their performances.)
I suppose they could be a touch more dynamic/animated on-stage; I can't tell exactly how much fun they're having. But top marks for following through on a concept with tone, presentation, costuming and hair. Complete with minis, go-go boots and bee-hives. A little obvious, maybe, but they do a great job unpacking the promise of the band name.
And I don't know that I've ever heard psychedelia from the "surf music is dead" back half of the sixties done as surf. Who woulda thought "In-a-Gadda," "White Rabbit," and "Sunshine-o-my-Love" would work as surf? But there it is: play the hooks, find the voicings, attend to the melody - and pour on the weeeverb - and off you go.
Love the light blue sparkle Jag, and the matching surf green Excelsior amps.
I guess, bottom line, it's a straightforward and unapologetic electric-guitar fest - and that always works for me.
