Post the rockin’est things you can find…

1

I don't mean the best playing.

And I don't mean the prettiest.

I mean the true soul of rock or rock'n' roll...

I still go back to...

THE LEGENDARY SHACK SHAKERS...

King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard

Trip Rock from Australia, and the most exciting live show I've seen since RATM.

3

Spencer Davis Group---"Gimme Some Lovin'" Steve Winwood at the Mighty B3. That Em7 chord rocks! Their "I'm A Man" is another.

"Hush" by Deep Purple is another. Can you tell I'm a keyboard player?

"Mississippi Queen" by Mountain.

"High Tides and Green Grass"---Outlaws.

"Start Me Up!"---Rolling Stones. That tune nearly got me a speeding ticket, as did "The Breeze".

This. What did I win?

7

I’m with Wabash Slim here. Maybe add Sympathy For the Devil and some Chuck and Jerry Lee and Allman Brothers to round it off.

8

Gotta add in some Little Feat and Doobie Brothers.

There are some tunes that you just CANNOT play while driving.

9

I can't find it on youtube but I've seen Angus Young doing a crazy solo. He passes out, he's dragged off stage, they put him on oxygen, strap a fresh SG on him and send him back out.

11

This clip is definitely up there for me.

13

Never really been a big Eddie Vedder fan, but he just nails this. Gave the song a new meaning for me.

14

Another one I revisit regularly.

Don't know if it's THE best example, but for sheer raunch while still pretty clever:

This one makes me speed if I hear it while driving. Great fun to both listen to and to play.

23

Gotta go with Pete:

24

or maybe this. Pre-punk rock. You heard of Post Punk, I'll call this pre-punk -

One of my favourites
