Man, I stumbled upon this recording, and it's totally stuck in my head now. Trippy Japanese? synth vocal over a really straight band, kinda catchy, and super strange and unexpected. Pennies from pluto

Pretty cool. At first I thought it was real. Then the violin started to sound fake and then the vocals came in. Weird. I like it though!

Big Django fan here. Not sure if any of that was him though. Still, it sounded pretty good. Of course, I could have done without the computerized vocal; but I understand what you mean, it kinda sticks in your head.
Thanks for posting.

Youtube is great. Not sure where else I'd ever hear things like that (for better or worse).

So, now I am totally confused. Is there any genuine Django Reinhardt and/or Stephane Grappelli on this track? For example, the guitar solo sounds like a real guitar...?? Or is that synthesized as well?

No, I think it's a real Django cover band from Japan. The voice is the only synth thing. By the way I really enjoyed how they ended the tune with the double turnaround, not sure if that was a Django/Grappelli arrangement or not, clean and clever. I thought the girl on violin did a pretty fine job, harmonics and all, Stephane would be proud.
