It doesn't hurt being one of the best guitar players that ever lived, but this video reiterates to me that you don't have to be able to dazzle someone with your finger work, or have a perfect voice. There is a lot more to music than that.

Chet never claimed to be a great singer; but he sure knew how to put the emotion and feeling in a song; no matter if it was vocal or instrumental. Many times Chet would warn his audience before he sang this song that it was going to be a tear jerker - industrial strength. I miss him.

I saw Chet perform this live. How lucky was I that night? I bought front row tickets from a couple in line, the other couple couldn't make it. They didn't charge a dime extra. I guess Chet fans are like that. Same hat, same guitar, nice memories.
