I'm probably the only one here who has never seen these vids but this cat is good..... and has a crap-pot load of Gretsch guitars!

No, as far as I know, Greg isn't a member here, Ge stays pretty busy with his guitars.

He has his own blues band in Germany, and is a dealer is vintage/rare guitars. I've been keeping up with him for the past 4 years or so.

I look at his stuff quite often. What I like is the fact that, apart from his good playing, his demos have consistently good sound quality with effects limited to maybe just a little grit from an Okko Diablo drive pedal.
However, it's often pointed out on GDP that certain guitar players would sound pretty much the same no matter what gear they were given — their fingers do the talking. While this guy's Telecasters obviously don't sound exactly like one of his archtop jazzers, there is a uniformity of sound no matter what guitar he sticks through that silverface Fender amp (and I mean a good sound) that I think only adds fuel to the adage that "it ain't the arrow, it's the indian".

That's what really got my attention....sight and sound of the videos and of course the back to back different Gretsch models. Thanks Joe,have to check into him some more.
