Shuie, you don't need MY permission, and I don't object. I agree about the song though. It does seem to inspire good guitar. It must be the haunting warmth of the melody...nothing special about the chord structure. Most everyone seems to like the song.
Which reminds me of this past spring when my wife and I were at our favorite Italian restaurant overlooking downtown. Early Friday evening dinner was enhanced by a talented young (25 ish)piano player. We were the only patrons (oddly) and the gent ask me if I had a request. I said sure, "How about I'll See You In My Dreams?" He had never heard of it, and asked who wrote it or played it. I said I thought maybe it was written in the forties, wasn't sure who wrote it, but Chet Atkins helped put it on the map. He didn't really know who Chet Atkins was..thought maybe he played a banjo or guitar or something. Even after I tried to explain who Chet was, he couldn't connect. Further confirms that the generation gap exists, and we live in two different worlds. I'm sure I don't know his heros either. It kinda took the zing out of an otherwise great meal.
The restaurant is now out of business. Hmmmm....
